renovation of the span locking system
at king chr. x bridge

Bridges

HSM Industri has replaced several of the locking system components of the bridge. The locking system are devices employed to transition the movable components into a fixed structure and to hold the two movable flaps in place when closed.

The lock bars intended to be fixed to the opposing flaps are massive and weigh hundreds of kilograms. The pressure and pulling rods are made of 80 mm round steel bars and machined and replaced by HSM Industri.

Despite the dating back to 1930, the bridge is in a generally good state. However, several of the components had become worn with time and needed to be replaced. In addition, several lubrication pipes have been replaced.
