The floating opera pavilion was ordered by the A.P. Møller Foundation. It was a gift for the Copenhagen Municipality and the Copenhagen Opera House situated on Holmen. The task was originally put out to tender as a specialist contract but the solutions were too expensive. HSM Industri, therefore, offered to take on the task as a turnkey contractor. All the specialist contracts were carried out our workshop in Grenaa.

So on 26 August, the 80 tonne pavilion was loaded onto a truck to be transported to the Port of Grenaa for subsequent tugging by tugboat to the harbour front in front of the Opera in Copenhagen.
